Explore Available Courses
Use Schedule Hero to explore Summer Session courses. Students in academic good standing can take up to 7 semester hours during summer session I or II without receiving approval from their academic advisor. However, you must receive an advising code from your advisor before registering for summer courses.
Students on academic probation must receive course overload approval from the Students First Office. Please refer to the Requesting a Maximum Credit Hours Increase page for more information.

Admitted Undergraduates
Summer classes are open to all new fall undergraduate degree-seeking students. Reach out to your academic advising center for assistance with summer advising and registration.
New Graduate Students

Non-Degree Seeking Students
Whether you’re a current college student at another institution, a high school senior looking to enrich your education, or an adult learner interested in taking a class, UNC Greensboro welcomes you to take classes as a Visiting Student. Financial aid is not available to visiting students.
Summer Financial Aid
Students enrolled in summer courses can receive financial aid (including Pell grants for those who qualify). Because the term is shorter and has several “parts of term,” the aid process is a little different than what happens in fall and spring.
Students who have a current-year FAFSA on file will be automatically considered for summer aid as soon as they enroll in summer courses. Students who have not applied for aid should complete a FAFSA as soon as possible. Find complete details about Summer Financial Aid.
Summer Session Housing
Campus Housing is available throughout the summer. Students can also apply to stay in campus housing between the end of Summer Session II and the beginning of the Fall 2023 semester. Find complete details on the Housing and Residence Life site.

| February 1–May 16: | Summer Session Registration for currently enrolled UNCG students. |
| February 14–May 16: | Registration for new graduate, visiting, undergraduate transfer, readmitted, reactivated, Visions, and inter-institutional students. |
| February 14–May 16: | Starting date for assessing late registration fees to all continuing students who did not preregister during the early registration period. $30.00 fee will be applied to account after student registers. |
| May 4: | Payment due for students who registered by May 4. Learn more. |
| May 10: | First Summer Session Classes Begin. |
| June 14: | First Summer Session Final Exams. |
| June 15: | Second Summer Session Classes Begin. |
